Cooling and Refrigeration Applications
- Compressor-driven cooling equipment with thermal expansion valves and a capacity of five tons and larger (60,000 Btu/hour)
- Smaller compressor-driven systems with higher loads and/or higher energy costs
- Non-centrifugal chillers up to 50 tons, controls permitting
Heating Applications
- Furnaces, boilers, large hot-water heaters and heat pumps
- Electric heating equipment of four kilowatts and larger
- Standard-efficiency gas- or oil-fired heating equipment greater than 100,000 Btu/hour
- Smaller units with higher loads and/or higher energy costs
