National Conference on Industrial Energy Efficiency to Include PaceControls Presentation on Industrial Opportunities
Tom Mills, President of PaceControls, will join a panel at the 2009 Summer Study on Energy Efficiency, a conference held by the American Council for an Energy-Efficient Economy (ACEEE). Mills will provide a presentation on approaches to using “small and safe” metered pilots to gain support for energy efficiency savings projects in industrial plant settings.
“Manufacturing efficiency programs can be tough to advance during economic downturns,” said Mills. “But in many industries, there are very large opportunities that will pay for themselves quickly – in some cases, less than a year – and companies that can get those cost-saving projects done are going to be better positioned competitively for the recovery.” Mills’ presentation will include examples from a number of industries, including two where PaceControls HVACR efficiency retrofit technology provided a springboard to additional efficiency process improvements.
The ACEEE conference, entitled “Timing Is Everything: Moving Investment Decisions to Energy-Efficient Solutions,” will be held July 28-31, 2009 in Niagara Falls, New York, and will attract conference participants from around the world. More information on the conference can be found at www.aceee.org.
