PaceControls and Penn State Win First-Round DOE Energy Innovation Hub Grant

PaceControls and Penn State’s Center for High Performance Building Systems (CHiPBS) were announced this week as winners in the first round of grants out of the DOE Energy Innovation Hub, a national center of excellence for building energy efficiency at the Philadelphia Navy Yard.

Grant funds will go to beta trials and commercialization of PaceControls’ next-generation PACE3 product suite, plus expansion of PaceControls’ manufacturing capacity around the company’s headquarters at the Greater Philadelphia Innovation Cluster (GPIC) at the Navy Yard Hub.

Henry Foley, Ph.D., executive director of GPIC, said in a statement, “We are pleased to provide these awards to outstanding organizations. The selected projects reflect the priorities and areas of need for GPIC where additional research will contribute significantly toward meeting GPIC goals and spurring innovation.”
