PaceControls Completes Move to Philadelphia Navy Yard Clean Energy Campus

PaceControls has completed its relocation to the historic Philadelphia Navy Yard, as it plans additional hiring and the launch of its next-generation product line this year.

As a Pennsylvania Ben Franklin Technology Partners-funded company, PaceControls is one of the first clean-technology companies to move into the new $122 million DOE Energy Innovation Hub national center of excellence on the Navy Yard’s Clean Energy Campus.

The Navy Yard Energy Innovation Hub, one of three such innovation centers announced by the DOE in 2010, is focused on building efficiency—in particular, the mid-sized commercial structures which constitute the largest sector of the commercial/industrial built environment worldwide. This is where PaceControls’ patented HVACR retrofit technology has both excellent economics and a substantial track record.

“We’re very pleased with our new space and our new neighbors,” said Tom Mills, PaceControls’ CEO. “The flex manufacturing that’s going in on the Navy Yard could be a terrific fit for some production for our next-gen product line.”
