PaceControls was one of five finalists in a national business plan competition held as part of the Clean Technology Conference and Expo, held June 21-24, 2010 in Anaheim, California.
The competition, which was sponsored by a number of venture and clean technology organizations and led by the Anaheim Center for New Energy Technologies and California State University, drew over sixty entries from all over the U.S.
“We were happy to make the finals and to get to participate in the conference.  Some of the finalist firms were post-capital raise to the tune of $6 million to $8 million, so to be able to compete with them was a great endorsement”, noted Tom Mills, PaceControls’ CEO.  Mills noted that PaceControls was planning to follow up in doing a series of showcase installations in commercial, residential, and industrial facilities in the Anaheim area.  “The City of Anaheim deserves a lot of congratulation for its focus on energy efficiency as a way to grow and keep jobs, as well as to grow the economy.  California is a big part of our plans for this year”, Mills added.
